One day in Palau Weh, I was walking along the beach exploring the island when I happened into a cemetery. As I was working to photograph the place, this kind and weathered fisherman joined me. We shared no common language, but he showed me a WWII bunker built by the Japanese then escorted me back along his beach. A chance encounter, a friendly islander, a beautiful day!
